These terms govern your use of Better Zap, the service at dash.better-zap.com ("Better Zap", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. They are written to be read, not skimmed past — the service handles your business's messages, so it is worth knowing where you stand.
What the service is
Better Zap lets a business connect its WhatsApp Business number through Meta's official Embedded Signup flow and work with its conversations from a browser, while the WhatsApp Business app on the phone keeps working as before. Better Zap is currently a free, closed beta: access is gated by a waitlist and invites, and no payment is collected by us.
Your account
The service is for business use. You must be at least 18, provide accurate account information, and keep your sign-in credentials to yourself. You may only connect a WhatsApp number that you own or are authorized to operate on behalf of the business.
Connecting your WhatsApp number
By connecting a number you authorize us to operate it on your behalf through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform: receiving your synced contacts and message history, receiving new messages, and sending the replies you write in the dashboard. Your use of WhatsApp remains subject to Meta's own terms, including the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service and the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy — connecting through Better Zap does not exempt you from them.
During Meta's signup flow you attach your own payment method to your WhatsApp Business account. Any messaging costs Meta may charge are between you and Meta; Better Zap does not bill you for messages and does not assume liability for Meta's charges.
Acceptable use
Use the service for genuine conversations with people who expect to hear from your business. Do not use it to send spam or bulk unsolicited messages, to violate the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy or any law, or to handle content you have no right to handle. Do not attempt to gain access to other customers' workspaces or to disrupt the service. If your use puts our platform standing with Meta at risk, we may suspend the connection first and discuss it with you second.
Your data stays yours
You own your data — your contacts, your conversations, your account information. We take only the license we need to store, process, and display that data in order to run the service for you. How we handle it is described in the privacy policy.
Your workspace uses the same open schema as a self-hosted deployment of the open-source better-zap SDK. That is deliberate: you can export your data and run it yourself at any time. The service is not a trap, and leaving it is a supported path, not a loophole.
Beta service, honestly stated
Better Zap is early software operated by a small team. We work to keep it reliable, but during the beta the service is provided as is, without warranties, and without a guaranteed service level. Features may change, and the service may be interrupted — including for reasons on Meta's side that we do not control. If we ever decide to discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and a window to export your data.
Ending things
You can stop at any time: disconnecting your number deletes its workspace, and you can delete your account entirely. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, put other customers at risk, or force us to breach our obligations to Meta. Where the situation allows it, we will warn you before acting.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits or lost business — arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim — which, during the free beta, is zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Relationship to Meta
Better Zap is an independent product built on Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform APIs. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Meta. WhatsApp and Facebook are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, and disputes will be handled in Brazilian courts, unless the law where you live grants you mandatory protections that apply instead.
Changes and contact
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and notify account holders by email before the changes take effect. Questions go to contato@better-zap.com.
